Heute bewältigten wir den letzten Teil des Highway 1 in Kalifornien.

In Santa Barbara haben wir eine kurze Strand-

und Spielplatzpause eingelegt.

Nach Santa Barbara war es dann auch schon vorbei mit der ruhigen Küstestraße, den charmanten “Dörfern” und der Freiheit des unberührten. Wir haben die gut besuchten Touristenorte erreicht.

… nun sind wir am Ende der historischen Route 66 am Santa Monica Pier angekommen.

Way to LA

Today we finished the last part of the Highway 1.

In Santa Barbara we made a quick Beach-

and Playground-Break.

After Santa Barbara it was over with the quiet coast road, the charming coast “villages” and the freedom of the untouched. We reached the well visited tourist sights.

… now we reached the end of historic Route 66 at the Santa Monica Pier.
