Heute ging es weiter in Richtung Westen. Der Plan war es, soweit wie möglich zu kommen, damit der Weg in den Yosemite National Park möglichst kurz wird.

Als Ziel haben wir uns Fernley ausgesucht, eine Kleinstadt vor Reno. Der Weg dorthin führte an den Salzseen Utahs vorbei,

und durch den bergigen Norden Nevadas.

Morgen werden wir nur eine kurze Strecke fahren und uns kurz vor Yosemite nochmal ausruhen. Fürs Erste planen wir mit Modesto als Ziel, von dort ist es nur ein kleiner Sprung in den Park.

Salt Lake City to Nevada

Today we headed further West. The plan was to go as far as possible to reduce the remaining way to Yosemite National Park.

As the final stop we decided on Fernley, a small town before Reno. The way there passed the Salt Lakes of Utah,

and through the mountainous north of Nevada.

Tomorrow we’ll have a shorter drive and some rest before Yosemite. For the moment we plan to sleep in Modesto, which makes the way into Yosemite just a small hop.
