Heute haben wir einen kleinen Umweg auf uns genommen, um eines der typisch amerikanischen Superlative zu besuchen.

12.000 Mitarbeiter, ein Freizeitpark, ein 12 Saal Kino, ein Sea Life und 42 Millionen Besucher pro Jahr (New York City hat 62 Millionen): die Mall of America.

In der Mitte der Mall liegt das Nickelodeon Universium.

Ein “kleiner” Freizeitpark mit Freefall Tower, “Riesen”rad und einigen Achterbahnen, die nichts für Kleinkinder sind, wie man an der Abfahrt sehen kann.

Dazu haben wir eine kleine Überraschung entdeckt, wie wussten gar nicht, dass es das hier auch gibt.

Nach einer kurzen Zeitreise in unsere Kindheit…

… haben wir uns auf den Weg gemacht, das Nichts der Kornkammer Americas zu durchqueren.

Morgen werden wir gegen Abend Mount Rushmore erreichen und hoffen, dass das Wetter mitspielt, da dieses die Sicht auf die Köpfe wohl häufig verhindert.Wir haben auch noch einen Nachtrag zu Chicago, den wir fast vergessen hätten, wir waren am Anfang der historischen Route 66….

Mall of America

Today we made a small detour to visit a classic American superlative. 12.000 Employees, a Theme Park, a 12 Hall Cinema, a Sea Life and 42 Million Visitors a Year (New York city has 62 Million): The Mall of America.In the middle is the Nickelodeon Universium.A “small” Thema Park with a Free Fall Tower, a “Giant” Ferris Wheel and a few rollercoasters, which are not for small children, as you can see by the drop.In addition we were a little surprised as we didn’t expect this shop here.After a small trip down memory lane…… we started our way through the “nothingness” of the breadbasket of the USA.Tomorrow we’ll reach Mount Rushmore around early evening, we hope the weather is kind to us, as the Wether can prevent the view of the heads quite often.We have an addendum to Chicago, we nearly forgot to mention that we visited the start of the historic route 66….
