Heute ging es nach Sydney. Auf dem Weg wollten wir noch ein paar Aussichtspunkte im Royal National Park besuchen.
Der Bald Hill biete eine schöne Aussicht auf die Küste südlich von Sydney und dient auch als Startpunkt für Hangglider.
Danach wollten wir die “Figure 8 Pools” besuchen. Leider sind wir nicht mehr in Amerika wo man an fast alle Sights bis auf ein paar Meter mit dem Auto ran fahren kann :(. Mit Grace wollten wir keinen “Grade 4” Weg mit 30Min – 1 Stunde für eine Strecke antun. Also ging es weiter nach Bundeena, dort haben wir einen kurzen Weg zu den “Balkonen” gemacht.
Diese eignen sich hervorragend um das Meer und die Küste zu betrachten, besonders wenn Wale vor Ort sind. Leider haben wir noch keinen Wal gesehen.
Als Hotel haben wir uns mal etwas anderes gegönnt, ein Hotel mitten in der Stadt. Von dort können wir super Sydney zu Fuß erkunden. Auf der anderen Straßenseite ist direkt der Hyde Park. Aber diesen haben wir nicht mehr bei Licht gesehen. Wir sind direkt durch zum Darling Harbour gelaufen.
Dort und an ein paar anderen Orten findet mit “Vivid Sydney” ein Licherfest statt.
Morgen werden wir dann die geführte Tour wie in Melbourne machen und vielleicht den Hyde Park erkunden.
Sydney for the First time
Today we went to Sydney. On the way we wanted to visit a few points in the Royal National Park.The Bald Hill gives a nice view of the coast south of Sydney and is a take off spot for Hanggliders.Afterwards we wanted to visit the “Figure 8 Pools”. Sadly this is not America anymore, where you can drive up to a few meters to nearly all sights :(. With Grace we didn’t want to try a Grafe 4 trail with 30 Minutes to an hour for one way. So we kept going to Bundeena where we walked to the “Balconies”.These are ideal to watch the coast and the sea especially if whales are near. We didn’t see a whale sadly.For our hotel we spoiled ourselves a bit, it is directly in Sydney. From here we can explore Sydney on foot. On the other street side we have the Hyde Park, which we didn’t see by daylight as we headed directly for Darling Harbour.
With “Vivid Sydney” there is currently a light festival in town. Darling Harbour is part of this.Tomorrow we’ll try the free tour like we did in Melbourne and maybe see the Hyde Park by daylight.
