Unser Tag fing richtig blöd an… Zum einem ist das Wetter eher schlecht. Zum andere hatte Kristina gestern Probleme das nächste Hotel zu buchen und als wir dann heute nach geschaut haben, haben wir festgestellt, dass unsere Kreditkarten leer sind o_O. Nach einem Anruf bei der Bank wurde uns dann mitgeteilt, dass das Geld nicht weg ist, aber unsere Kreditkarten gesperrt sind, wieso konnte man uns nicht sagen. Nun müssen wir schauen, das wir möglichst viel mit Google Pay/Online bezahlen können, da wir nur noch 150$ in Bar haben…
Naja dann mal zu der heutigen Route. Als erstes haben wir in Byron Bay halt gemacht mit ein bisschen Spielen im Strand.
Dann sind wir etwas an der Küste entlang spaziert.
Dort entlang kamen wir dann zum östlichsten Punkt des australischen Festlands.
Das der Zipfel da unten nicht weiter östlich liegt, müssen wir mal auf die offizielle Information vertrauen.
Von dort ging es dann fast nach Brisbane. Wir haben noch einen kleinen Abstecher zu dem “Miami Australiens” gemacht. Es erinnert schon sehr an Miami und es gibt dort sogar einen Ort Miami.
Um es besser sehen zu können sind wir dann nochmal auf “The Spit” raus gelaufen, eine kleine Landzunge die eine schöne Sicht auf die Gold Coast bietet, wenn man das Wetter ignoriert.
Danach ging es dann durch ins Hotel, nach dem wir ein paar kleinere Probleme mit dem hinterlegen der Kaution hatten. Als wir dann unser komplettes Bargeld abgegeben hatten konnten wir endlich bei mal wieder heftigem Regen ins Bett.
Arrival Brisbane
Our day started really stupid… For one the Weather was bad. And for the other Kristina had trouble booking our next hotel yesterday and once we checked again this morning we realized that our Creditcards were empty o_O. After a call to our bank we now have the information that the money is not gone just that our creditcards are blocked. They couldn’t tell us why. Now we have to get by with Google Pay/Online ordering since we only have 150$ in cash…
Okay back to the route of the day. First we visited Byron Bay and Grace played a bit on the beach.
Then we strolled a bit along the cost.
Where we reached the most easterly point of mainland Australia.
That the liddle spit of land down there is not further east we have to believe.
From there we headed for Brisbane, nearly. We made a liddle detour to the “Miami of Australia”. When you are there you really think of Miami and there is a little part even called Miami.
To see it better we headed out onto “The Spit” a little spit of land reaching far out into the sea. From here we had a good view, ignoring the weather, onto the Skyline of the Gold Coast.
After that we headed for our hotel, where we sorted out a few problems with the safety deposit by handing over all our cash. Fitting the weather we went to bed with heavy rains.
