Heute war zumindest der halbe Tag ein “klassischer” Touristen-Tag.

Als Erstes ging es zu einem inoffiziellen Aussichtspunkt für das Hollywood-Sign, der aber mittlerweile so bekannt ist, dass ein pures Verkehrschaos herrschte, welches selbst 3 Verkehrs-Cops nicht ordnen konnten.

Danach ging es zum Walk of Fame und dem Chinese Theater.

Im Anschluss haben wir eine kurze Vergnügungsfahrt durch Beverly Hills gemacht und über den Rodeo Drive.

Den Rest des Tages haben wir eher untypisch verbracht, es ging zum Muttertagsessen zu Verwandten in Whittier, einem Vorort von LA.

In klassisch amerikanischer Gastfreundschaft gab es mehr als genug zu essen, leckeres Fleisch vom Grill, frischen Salat und american Cheesecake zum Nachtisch.

Today we went full Tourist, at least for the first half of the day. First we headed for an unofficial view point of the Hollywood-Sign, which is by now so well known that 3 traffic cops couldn’t get order into the traffic chaos.

Then we went to the Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theater.

Afterwards we cruised a bit through Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive.

The rest of the day we spent untypical for a tourist. We had a mother’s day dinner at relatives, in Whittier a suburb of LA.

In the classic american hospitality we had more than enough food, tasty meat from the Grill, fresh Salad and American cheesecake as dessert.
