Heute ging es von Erin, Ontario nach Toronto, Ontario um noch einen Freund zu besuchen.
Die fahrt dauerte nur knapp 40 Minuten. Dadurch saßen wir deutlich weniger im Auto als gestern. Als erstes haben wir ein kleines Einkaufszentrum besucht, welches aber eine kleine Überraschung zumindest für Grace bereit hielt. Einen kleinen Freizeitparkt mit “Riesen”rad, Freefall und einer Eisenbahn und vielen weiteren…
Danach ging es nach Downtown Toronto, ein häufig genutzter Drehort für Szenen in “Manhatten”.
In der Innenstadt angekommen haben wir einen kurzen Stop an dem alten Rauthaus gemacht.
Und dem Toronto Schild gemacht.
Danach ging es unter die Erde. Durch die kalten Winter (bis zu -30°C) und dem mangelnden Platz gibt es eine riesen Welt unter der eigentlichen Stadt. Dort kommt man von dem einen Ende der Stadt an das andere ohne Tageslicht zu sehen oder eine U-Bahn zu nutzen.
Um Etwas abseits von Sehenswürdigkeiten und Landschaften zu betrachten, haben wir uns für Grace für ein Aquarium (Ripley’s Aquarium) in Toronto entschieden und man sieht, es war eine gute Wahl.
Danach ging es zu einem chinesischen Buffet-Restaurant fürs Abendessen. Als letztes haben wir die Großeltern im Hotel abgesetzt und werden gleich bei Sylvain auf der Luftmatratze schlafen gehen.
Toronto
Today we went from Erin, Ontario to Toronto, Ontario to visit another Friend. The drive took only 40 minutes. So we spent a lot less time in the car. First we went to a Mall which had a little surprise for Grace, a little Themepark with carousels, Freefall-Tower and a Train and more..
After that we went to Downtown Toronto, which is often used as a Backtrop for Scenes which play in “Manhattan”.
Once we reached Downtown we stopped at the old City Hall
And the Toronto Sign.
After that we went underground. Because of the cold Winters (up to -30°C) and the limited space, there is a huge world under the city. There you can get from one end of the city to the other without seeing daylight or using the Metro.
To do something beside Landmarks and Landscapes, we decided to go into an Aquarium for Grace (Ripley’s Aquarium) in Toronto and you can see it was a good choice.
Afterwards we went for dinner in a chinese Buffet-Restaurant. Last we dropped the Grandparents of at the hotel and we will go to bed on air mattresses at Sylvain’s.
